September 2014

Well, September is a distressing month. School starts, which equals to less reading time. I hate that, but there are still some awesome new releases in September, so at least we have something wonderful to anticipate!

1. The Infinite Sea (The Fifth Wave #2)
by Rick Yancey

The Fifth wave is a series about alien attack, and the first book is such a page-turner and kept me sitting on the edge throughout the entire book! P.S. there is also a movie coming!

2. Rooms
by Lauren Oliver

Who loves Lauren Oliver? Well, I do! And It says this book is "a story of family, ghosts, secrets and mystery", in which "the lives of the living and the dead intersect in shocking, surprising and moving ways" Sounds intriguing, right?

The Taking by Kimberly Derting

Title: The Taking (The Taking #1)
Author: Kimberly Derting
My Edition: Hardback; 357 pages
Publisher: Harper Teen

In The Taking, Kyra has a fight with her dad, and a sudden strong light flashes by, then she remembers nothing. After she wakes up and goes home, a strange man is there instead of her mom and dad. She is then being told that she's gone for 5 years, everything is not the same except her.

Seriously, a really exciting and unique concept. The story is really easy to get into; it's fast-paced and creepy, which is totally my cup of tea!

Switched by Amanda Hocking

Title: Switched (Trylle #1)
Author: Amanda Hocking
My Edition: Paperback; 318 pages
Publisher: St. Martin's Griffin

Switched, follows a girl named Wendy, whose mother accuses she as a monster and tries to kill her on her sixth birthday. As she grows, she gets a feeling that maybe her mother is right. Everything changes and she discovers her real identity after meeting this badass, hot, mysterious guy named Finn. Her journey begins and more dangers encounter as she discovers her true self.

I have to admit, Switched has got one of the best first lines I've ever seen so far. It immediately caught my attention, aroused my curiosity, and got me aching to know what would happen next.
