September 2014

Well, September is a distressing month. School starts, which equals to less reading time. I hate that, but there are still some awesome new releases in September, so at least we have something wonderful to anticipate!

1. The Infinite Sea (The Fifth Wave #2)
by Rick Yancey

The Fifth wave is a series about alien attack, and the first book is such a page-turner and kept me sitting on the edge throughout the entire book! P.S. there is also a movie coming!

2. Rooms
by Lauren Oliver

Who loves Lauren Oliver? Well, I do! And It says this book is "a story of family, ghosts, secrets and mystery", in which "the lives of the living and the dead intersect in shocking, surprising and moving ways" Sounds intriguing, right?

The Duff by Kody Keplinger

Bianca Piper, who's cynical and loyal, throws her Coke in Wesley Rush's face when he calls her "Duffy". Ever since, she's troubled by this word and keeps feeling herself ugly and fat. Then, issues happen, and she does something entirely crazy for distraction and ends up falling for the guy she hates the most.

I have to admit that I feel so connected with Bianca. She's intelligent, cynical and funny! She's sassy; she appears to be strong, but actually soft on the inside. I like how Miss Keplinger uses the dialogues to bring out the personality of each character, making them so distinct.

The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight by Jennifer E. Smith

Let's be superficial for a moment, the cover design of this book is so cute; and it suits the story so well! You can already tell what the story is about simply by looking at the cover.

At first, I thought this would just be another cliche and cheesy love story, but it turned out to be so much more than that. This story not only talks about love, but also contains some deep and inspiring issues, which taught me a lesson of life.
